It is baffling and obscure to stand here today to bid you farewell. We weren’t prepared for this and indeed we didn’t expect to be paying you a tribute so soon. Just like everyone gathered here, you’ve left us all heartbroken.

Today, we would like to take a moment to thank you and let you know how much you were appreciated.

Thank you for being a very supportive mother to our year group.

Thank you for gracing our occasions in your beauty and splendor.

Thank you for sacrificing your time, money, and efforts to be at our social gatherings.

Thank you for an artful display of kindness rooted in a heart of pure gold.

Thank you for your delightful nature, warm and so true.

Thank you for being so relatable to the point that some of us could call you at any time and have conversations with you and be vulnerable at the same time.

To the casual observer, your presence meant nothing but to SMOGA 94/96 Year Group we saw deep love shared selflessly and unreservedly among us.

Sadly, we cannot look forward to your physical presence at our social events anymore, but we know you will always be there for us, unseen, unheard but always near.

We will always hold you dear and memories of you will forever be etched in our hearts.

As you journey on mother dearest, know that you will surely be missed and never be forgotten.

We won’t think of you as gone, but resting peacefully with our Lord, far from a world full of pain and sorrow.
